Each year we offer 30 or so places for entry direct into the Sixth Form (Year 12). You can apply for one of these places by completing the Registration Form as well as the 16+ Application Form and returning these, together with the fee, to the Registrar.
Entrance exams are held at College over two days in both November and March, in the year prior to entry. Candidates are invited to stay overnight in Houses and in so doing get a real flavour of life at College. Papers are taken in three subjects, preferably those subjects that will be studied at AS or A Level, as well as Verbal Reasoning (VRQ) and a General paper.
Candidates living overseas, for whom it is not practical to come to College for one of the entry rounds, can sit the entrance papers at a mutually agreed date and location.
Overseas candidates whose native language is not English sit papers in EFS (English for Foreign Students) and one other (usually but not always Maths) as well as a General Paper.
Scholarships and bursaries are also available for entry into the Lower Sixth.
