Last weekend, Chandos Upper Sixth held an invitational dinner party on Thirlestaine House lawn with the perfect theme – a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party! It was wonderful to host the dinner outside and a lot of time and effort went into decorating the area to make it look as much like Wonderland as possible. The local restaurant Spice Lodge provided Indian dishes as a buffet for the starter and main course and were accompanied by mini cakes for dessert. Everyone put a huge amount of effort into their colourful costumes, which were all very mad indeed! Despite a bit of rain at the end, the evening was a great success and everyone agreed that it was wonderful to have such a different and alternative dinner.
