On Monday 10 March, an appreciative audience was treated to an evening of performance by Year 8 Scholars from the various artistic disciplines (of Art, Music and Drama).
Seated at cafe style round tables lit by candles and enjoying a glass of wine, the audience were surrounded by different performances, both musical solos and dramatic readings. Art work was displayed on the way in to the Assembly Hall and in an exciting projected presentation, and all of the children performed to an extremely high level. Rather than merely a formal 'performance' of work that they have prepared for their various Scholarships, they were keen to present everything as an 'experience', and following the standing ovation and numerous plaudits by the audience - one of the comments from a new parent was 'that is the best school performance I have ever been to!'
Make sure you look out for it in the calendar next year!
