By James Webb (L6, H)
This term saw Christowe and Ashmead joined together for a House production of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers. The play follows the lives of two brothers separated at birth, who lead lives on different ends of the social spectrum, but who meet and become friends. They both fall in love with the same girl, which causes a rift in their friendship and ultimately leads to the tragic death of both brothers.
The production itself was performed to a very high standard and was immensely enjoyable, with particularly notable performances from Izzy Kemp (5th, A) who played Linda, the twins’ love interest, and Oscar Bromage-Henry (5th, Xt) who played one of the twins, Mickey. Many thanks must go to all involved behind the scenes, the actors for giving up their time for such an event and finally to Mrs Cutts for making the show possible.
