A Heritage Lottery Fund grant enabled the digitization and printing of over 600 photographs of former pupils who died in the First World War. Mounted on a 'Growing Wall', they form the centre piece of our annual Remembrance Exhibitions. To the 67 on the 'Wall' in 2014, a further 220 have been added for the period 12 November 1914 to 11 November 1915.
The annual exhibition is free and open to the public. The next one will be held Monday 7 - Saturday 12 November 2016.
The grant also covers research costs and display facilities enabling stories to be told about the Old Cheltonians who survived, as well as those who died. There will be displays of artefacts, war diaries, medals, photographs and contemporary letters, plus displays of pupils' work.
