Characters come to life

Characters come to life

Children and staff at Cheltenham Prep brought characters to life for World Book Day.

In a 2013 study into the role of reading the Institute of Education found that:
- Children who read for pleasure are likely to do significantly better than their peers
- Children who are read to regularly at the age of 5 perform better in tests
- Reading for pleasure has a strong effect on children's vocabulary

Hopefully everyone at the Prep enjoyed dressing up as their favourite character for the day, but remember to keep reading!
