Children and staff at Cheltenham Prep have produced a book of mouth-watering recipes to raise funds for WellChild's work with seriously ill children and their families across the UK.
Favourites such as Spaghetti Carbonara, Cannelloni and Margherita pizza are included in the book along with ‘Yummy Biscuits’, Lemon Drizzle Cake, Fruit Smoothies and many more.
Among the recipes are some from WellChild Award winner Johnathan He, aged 6, from Milton Keynes who has a passion for cooking. Johnathan, has a rare genetically inherited immunological condition. His condition meant he could not eat for a long time and he spent a lengthy period in hospital.
As a passionate chef he leapt at the chance to help out WellChild. He created ‘Chef Johnathan’s three course meal’ for the book including Baked Spring Rolls with Pork and Prawn, Sweet and Sour Chicken and Mango Tapioca Pudding.
WellChild Chief Executive Colin Dyer said: “The recipe book is a fantastic idea and we would like to thank Cheltenham Prep School, the students and staff for their hard work on the project and Johnathan for contributing his mouth watering recipes.”
WellChild provides essential and practical support to ensure that the increasing number of seriously ill children and young people in the UK have the best possible quality of care.
The cookbook is available to purchase from Reception.
