The College Golf team returned from Burnham and Berrow in Somerset yesterday after a successful two days of golf.
The team successfully made it into the final of the West of England Schools' Golf Championship event, beating a strong Monmouth team in the first round, followed by Canford in the semi-final. Unfortunately they narrowly lost to Radley in the final by 3 matches to 2. With four of the team back next year, 2016 could be their year.
The other positive to come from the two days of golf was that the top three players (Harrison Ottley-Woodd, Intouch Ruckpanich and Joss Edwards) beat the top three players at Monmouth 2-1 to win the ISGA Regional Final to qualify for the National Final for the first time at the Open Championship venue of Royal St Georges.
