Cross Country Team Sprint into 3rd Place

Cross Country Team Sprint into 3rd Place

The three girls' Cross Country teams from Cheltenham Prep entered into the Cross Country Relay Invitational Competition at Warwick Prep School. There were twelve other schools in attendance, many of whom we do not compete against in any other sport, and so the girls were very excited about the fresh competition!

The races are run in teams of four - as a relay - over a very muddy cross country course of about a mile. We did exceptionally well and our results were as follows: Year 4 girls came 1st; Year 5 girls came 4th; and Year 6 girls came 2nd.

This meant that we came 3rd overall as a school from the twelve schools competing. We're really impressed with the performance of all the teams, showcasing the strength of cross country running at Cheltenham Prep, where the running club has been growing a huge following. There was also some fantastic teamwork displayed by the girls! A tough performance to follow but we're looking ahead to an excellent season of competition on the field.
