Children in Year 5 at the Prep got a taste of Senior School last Thursday when they were invited to the Cheltenham College Year 5 Experience Day.
During an action packed morning the children had a chance to negotiate the College Obstacle Course - usually reserved for the CCF, practice clay pigeon shooting with laser guns and negotiate a "dangerous" minefield!
After a much needed lunch in the magnificent College Dining Hall, the afternoon was spent creating a fruit salad - using Spanish, learning a delightful French poem about animals and weather and designing and making their very own mazes in the DT rooms - luckily everyone kept all their fingers away from the saw!
The children then had a chance to join their parents for tea and tours of the Boarding Houses.
Although life at College definitely has more lessons than the Year 5s experienced, it was a great introduction to senior school.
