Fourth Form go skiing in France

Fourth Form go skiing in France

By Mr James Coull

During the first week of the Easter holidays, 26 pupils and staff headed off to the wonderful resort of Serre Chevalier in France. We travelled by coach via the Channel Tunnel towards the Alps. It snowed on the very first night, creating wonderful conditions for the next six days of skiing. We were staying in great accommodation, close to the slopes and the village shops. With Ski School morning and afternoon (Merci Manu, Marc et Pierre!), we all saw plenty of improvement over the course of the week, with some slalom races and off-piste spring snow skiing to test our technique. As well as the skiing, we managed a trip to the picturesque town of Briançon (the highest in Europe), some competitive bowling, DVD evenings and a quiz night. Many thanks to the staff and all the Fourth Formers who made it such a fun week!
