Getting creative with a local school

The Art department was delighted to host two Upper Sixth students and the Head of Art from All Saints Academy for an afternoon this week to attend College’s regular life drawing session. The schools worked alongside each other to produce some incredible drawings to support and inspire their portfolios. It was interesting for the students from both schools to share their ambitions towards further education, and the courses that they are hoping to study next year. We are hoping to continue this partnership next Half Term and into the future.

The Art department is currently exhibiting work by the Fourth Form and Upper Sixth, including a few pieces by Fifth Form and Lower Sixth, in the Thirlestaine Long Gallery and the White Gallery. The exhibition runs from Friday 20 October to Friday 17 November, and all are welcome to drop in to the see the variety of creativity generate since the start of term. Special parent viewings arranged on either side of Half Term to coincide with the collection and drop-off of pupils.
