Cheltenham Prep welcomed 16 children from Hopelands Prep School for a joint hockey training session on the dedicated College Sports Centre astro pitches.
Teaming up for the afternoon with The Prep's 2nds and 3rds teams, the players worked through various skill stations focusing in on footwork, ball control, strategy and shooting. At the end of the session, everyone joined in some fun matches to put new skills into play, whilst challenging new opponents! Staff from Hopelands Prep said how much their children enjoyed the opportunity and requested a repeat event next year. As always, our girls were the perfect hosts and proved to be wonderful coaches.
"We are so lucky to have access to such large, modern facilities and excellent coaching teams here at Cheltenham College," said Stacy Ramsay, Head of Girls' Sport, PE and Swimming at Cheltenham Prep. "It's been a pleasure to share these facilities with another school, whilst offering our own teams a chance to play against teams with completely different strengths and skill sets. We look forward to welcoming our friends at Hopelands Prep School back again soon."
