OLly Morgan - director oF rugby
Olly previously spent 10 years as a Professional at Gloucester Rugby. He amassed close to 150 appearances for Gloucester and was awarded his full England Cap in 2007 in the RBS Six Nations against Scotland. He is a level 3 qualified coach in Rugby and Mentoring and coaches regularly within the Gloucester Academy and Sevens programme.
Olly’s aim is to build an environment that allows players and coaches of all abilities to develop as well as provide them with the necessary support and guidance in order for them to achieve excellence. It is his desire to encourage and enhance an enjoyment and passion for the game of Rugby.
nick runciman - sports professional
Nick has been a key asset to the coaching team at Cheltenham College over the last 2 years and provides a great insight to the game particularly having played professionally for 10 years at Gloucester, Worcester and London Welsh. His desire to pass on technical and tactical knowledge to the pupils is second to none and he plans to be at the forefront of creating a professional environment for all athletes at College particularly through the schools Talented Athlete Programme.
DAN MURPHY - RUGBY COACH
Dan has a vast array of credentials having been involved in the sport professionally for over 10 years. He has played at the top level having represented London Irish, Gloucester and Harlequins in the Premiership. Having recently taken a step back from the game, his up to date knowledge and expertise will be invaluable for our pupils. More recently, Dan is in the process of gaining his RFU level 3 coaching qualification and along with Cheltenham College, will assist coaching Hartpury in the Championship. Dan hopes to pass on his experience to pupils at College and continue to build a culture where each player is encouraged to improve and reach their full potential in a competitive environment.
matt kelly - rugby coach
Matt is new to the coaching set up at Cheltenham College having previously been Head of Rugby and PE at the Chase School. He has a vast amount of playing and coaching experience within Gloucestershire stretching over 15 years, having played semi-professionally as well as involvement within the coaching team at Gloucester Academy. Recently he was awarded his RFU level 3 coaching badge and will be a huge asset to the Rugby Club especially the development of younger players.
