Five of the College's Upper Sixth Oxbridge and Medicine applicants competed in a Three-Minute Thesis Competition against five of their counterparts from St Swithun's School, Winchester, on Wednesday afternoon. Hosted by College, each participant had three minutes to convince an audience about their suitability to study their chosen subject. Terezia Michalikova has chosen to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics; Tommy Maddinson to read History, Sherry He wants to read Engineering, Anna McIntyre is interested in reading Geography and Dasha Romanyuk would like to read Medicine. All gave absolutely brilliant talks, clearly demonstrating their exceptional academic and personality strengths. Dasha was judged to be one of the joint winners along with a student from St Swithun’s.
