Prep's Tennis Players Are Ace!

48 Cheltenham Prep staff, parents and pupils celebrated the hottest day of the year so far by taking part in a charity tennis tournament in aid of the Prep’s Charity of the Year, Gloucestershire Bundles.

The tournament, which took place at Cheltenham College’s sports centre on Thirlestaine Road, saw the 12 couples serve, swing and ace their way to the championship title of this popular event. The final, between pupils Ed Carter and David Noble, both playing with their fathers, was a nail-biting match, which saw the Noble family taking the title!

“It’s a great way to spend a sunny day,” said Mrs Sandra Gilmour, Head of Maths at The Prep and organiser of the competition. “The event raised over £200 for the The Prep’s charity of the Year, Gloucestershire Bundles.”

Gloucestershire Bundles is a charity providing emergency packs of toiletries, clothing and equipment to pregnant women and families who find themselves in crisis situations.
