Roman Theatre

Cheltenham College Preparatory School Daylight TheatreDaylight Theatre have been touring into primary schools for over 30 years with their one hour plays involving actors, puppets, scenery and audience participation.

On Thursday 1 May children in Year 3 at Cheltenham Prep had a chance to experience this lively theatre for themselves with a production set at at Hadrian's Wall during Roman times.

Grace (Y3) commented: "I was chosen to take part in the play, with 5 other children in Year 3. We got to dress up and I enjoyed being the slave to the solider and saying 'yes sir, yes sir, yes sir,' to everything he asked me! The story was about a Roman solider who is trying to find his friend Julius Caesar and is set at Hadrian's Wall. I thought the storyline was brilliant and I liked the costumes and the set, especially when he disappeared into the well!"
