Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race

Darren Hague (U6, BH), Tom Hill (U6, BH), Will Jury-Simpson (U6, BH) and Josh Berry (L6, BH) are training for the 2017 Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race to raise money for the James Hopkins Trust, a charity that provides nursing respite care for life limited or life threatened young children in Gloucestershire.

The race, starting in Devizes in Wiltshire and finishing in the tidal part of the Thames at Westminster, is a total of 125 miles and is completed over 4 days from Friday 14 – Monday 17 April.

The boys’ have completed training sessions on both the Kennet and Avon canal and the Thames, at just under 20 miles a time, and have seen some of the course that they will be following from Reading to Marlow.
