Four of our best Lower College Chemists entered the Top of the Bench regional competition held at Bristol University and came third. This national competition for 14 to 16 year old pupils sees the boys and girls faced with a team challenge in analytical chemistry activities. Accuracy and a commitment to immaculate good lab practice is the name of the game. We’re delighted that our boys and girls did so well and were placed third out of sixteen schools competing on the day, flying the flag for College Science. Charlotte Maddinson (3rd, Q), Duncan Pinchen (3rd, Xt), Fin McConnell (4th, Xt) and Ollie Ferris (5th, NH) are pictured about to embark on their challenge in the undergraduate teaching lab at Bristol.
