Tough pupils run gruelling mud race

Three College pupils are taking part in a Tough Mudder Run as part of the Friends of Cheltenham College Boat Club’s fundraising initiative to raise £25,000 for new boats and training equipment. They hope to raise £2,000 in sponsorship. The race is a gruelling 10 - 12 miles with over 20 obstacles to get through, including freezing muddy lakes to wade through and sloping walls to climb.

Georgia Rattigan, Izzy Kemp and Chloe Degnan are keen rowers and have been part of the Boat Club for three years. Georgia commented, “We wanted to help support and improve the sport we love so that all College rowers can benefit and make the Cheltenham College Boat Club the best it can be.”

The Friends of Cheltenham College Boat Club are also organising an ‘Oarsome Draw’ with a limited number of 250 tickets with a chance to win prizes from a holiday home for a week to a wine tasting activity. Find out more about the prizes here and apply for tickets here.
