This summer, four 4th Form boys from Cheltenham College will be undertaking and self-funding one of the ultimate river challenges – The Wye 100 – a 100 mile canoe journey from Glasbury to Chepstow. They will start on Friday 28 June and finish Tuesday 2 July.
William-Ross Anderson (XT), Alex de Wesselow (XT), James Battishill (NH) and Henry Morshead (BH) have set themselves a target to raise £7,500 towards a new Library in the Education Centre at the Elephant Orphanage Project in Zambia.
EOP provides sanctuary for abandoned elephant calves, often the tragic victims of poaching and human conflict, providing expert, intensive round-the-clock care until they reach maturity and can be released back into the wild.
To date the boys have raised over £1,500 towards their target; if you would like to support them in their fundraising for EOP please go to http://www.justgiving.com/wye100canoechallenge.
We wish the boys good luck with their incredible fund-raising challenge!
