Prospective pupils and their parents often ask what it is that characterises College life and sets us apart from other schools. The answer is an extraordinary richness and breadth of education as well as an almost tangible sense of enjoyment. Excellent teaching is our first priority: the love of learning lies at the heart of all we do but pupils also find themselves plunged into an environment where they can discover and develop their talents, make friends and live life to the full.
We prepare pupils for entry to university and from the outset of a pupil’s time at the College we have this clearly in mind. We also set great store by encouraging independence and self-confidence. All this is complemented by innumerable opportunities, from academic societies and extension classes to sport, music, dance, drama, debating, outward-bound activities and much more besides. Our House and tutorial systems are extremely supportive; we are an incredibly strong community and our pastoral care is outstanding.
The pages of this website will show you something of what happens here and what is open to pupils choosing to join us. I hope you enjoy exploring the site and find all the information that you need and are interested in. However it is, of course, only an introduction. You must come and see us and become a Cheltonian family yourselves if you want to know the full story!
You would be very welcome indeed.
