Another win for the U12s rugby team

Congratulations to the U12s who emerged victorious for the third time in four years at the Monkton Coombe Super 12 Tournament.

The day commenced with two pool match wins against All Hallows and Perrott Hill. This took the boys through to the semi-final against Millfield where they raised their game to score a well worked try. Despite Millfield’s best efforts, the boys put in some super tackling and tactical kicking to keep their line intact – and to emerge victors!

The final was against a determined St John’s Chepstow side. The Cheltenham boys got off to a great start, scoring from a well taken penalty. While constant pressure from St John’s put the team under great pressure, some excellent tactical kicking enabled captain Tom Stanton to score his second try of the match. This stunning try secured victory and gave Cheltenham the cup for the third time in four years.

No doubt the boys will be back next year to defend the title!
