The Art Scholars enjoyed a trip to the Birmingham Art Museum this week. The scholars from Yrs 6, 7 and 8 spent the day learning about different kinds of portraits, about impressionism, the Pre-Raphaelites and sculptures. In addition they had a go at copying some of the beautiful paintings that they saw on display. Alexander Cove commented on a piece by William Holman Hunt “I particularly liked this because of its vibrant colours, detail and the story it portrayed.”
