On Sunday 13th March 25 members of the Boarding House set off in two minibuses to run a 5km race in Devon in aid of The Stroke Association.
The event was held on a cross-country course around Escot Estate in East Devon and by the 10.30 start, the sun was shining brightly. All pupils ran brilliantly and raised plenty of money in doing so. They were also complimented by the marshalls for being so polite and so fast! The reward was fish and chips on the beach at Sidmouth where some runners were even brave enough to enter the water while others sunbathed on the rocks.
Thank you to Mrs Rosemary William (Mrs Walton's mum) for baking fresh scones and providing clotted cream and strawberry jam for all 25 of us – it was the perfect end to a great day out!
