On Monday 3rd of March, Tom Williams, writer of the hit 'snow-mantic comedy' came to speak to the House about the making of the movie, and the industry in general.

In a packed Common Room, the boys, joined by some girls from Ashmead, were thoroughly engaged as Mr Williams spoke candidly about the film and his experiences of making movies. With many of the House having seen the film at the weekend, there were some insightful questions, and a genuine interest shown. Mr Williams, as you would expect from a comedy writer, was on great form, mixing wise advice with juicy celebrity titbits and insider information on the film itself.

The evening ended with much hilarity and free film merchandise, with hopefully the Newick boys a little wiser about the film industry, and perhaps inspired by someone who has come from a school similar to this one, and made their ambitions come true.
