We are delighted to say that College has two connections to the Cheltenham Festival Ladies-only Charity Flat Race this year which takes place on Ladies Day, Thursday 18th March. There were over 130 applicants from all over England and Ireland, with only 12 riders being selected. The aim of the race is to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK.
College parent Germaine Oliver is one of the riders. The other is Amy Weaver, daughter of Sue Watson, Matron at the Junior School. Amy became Britain's youngest female racehorse trainer in June 2008, aged just 26, after attending the British Racing School and working her way up from stable lass to Assistant Trainer to Michael Bell, before applying for her Training Licence.
