Candidates in debate: (Left to right, Harriet Slator, George Burt, George Lee)
After a hard fought two week campaign, involving canvassing and a heated debate on Monday evening, yesterday Cheltenham College went to the polls in their own Mock Election. All four local candidates came in to speak to the school and some made time to help the College candidates in their own campaigns, and, like the real constituency, the votes were counted today. The results were announced and the winning candidate spoke to the assembled 6th form and staff this morning.
The results were as follows:
Jan Haas (Conservative) 45%
Harriet Slator (Liberal Democrats) 38%
George Lee (UKIP) 13%
Natalia Lungu (Labour) 4%
