The sun shone warmly on the first ever girls’ House Lacrosse competition for Middle and Upper School. The group stages saw Persia and Sparta reach the Middle School final and Corinth and Athens the Upper School final after some fierce competition in the group stages. Some of the best team play came from the Romans in Middle School who fielded only one Year 6 player in their squad....... they will be a real threat next year!

The Middle School Final was won 3-2 by Sparta with the winning goal coming in extra time and the Upper School winners were Athens by a single goal from Corinth.

Congratulations to all the girls on a tremendous afternoon’s play which was enjoyed by a good crowd. In all, 18 matches saw only 1 draw and 108 goals scored.
