Danny Hearn, old boy of the House (1953-58) and former England rugby international, has kindly donated some photo albums to the House, which are on the display in the House library. Please do feel free to drop in and peruse them whenever you wish.
Danny was a member of the unbeaten 1957 XV and went on to play for England 6 times in the centre. He broke his neck playing for the Midland Counties against the All Blacks in 1967 - he was due to play for England against the All Blacks 10 days later and his place was taken by another OC who had played in the centre with him in the 57 XV! Danny has been restricted to a wheel chair since 1967, but enjoyed a very rewarding teaching career at
Haileybury - he taught Politics, coached the first XV and produced plays, all from the wheel chair!
