This month Year 5 children from schools across Cheltenham were invited to take part in a printing workshop at CCJS as part of the IMPRESS ’13 International Printmaking Festival.  The workshop was run by two members of the Gloucestershire Printmaking Co operative.

The children had a wonderful ‘hands on’ opportunity to learn about Drypoint and Intaglio methods of producing an image. At the end of a busy and productive day the children had to be prized away from their presses!

The IMPRESS ’13 International Printmaking Festival invites acclaimed International, European an UK printmakers to work together, provide workshops and exhibit together in an around Goucestershire during the month long Festival.

An Exhibition of the work produced in the CCJS workshop, alongside that of professional printmakers, will take place in Thirlestaine Long Gallery on 12-27 April 2013.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Exhibition and giving you a chance to see the wonderful prints produced at the workshop!
