Scholarships

Our range of scholarships

We offer scholarships from the age of 11, when children enter Year 7. (More scholarships are offered in the Senior School at 13 and 16 years). Our range of scholarships reflect the breadth of education we offer and include:

Academic Scholarships – offered to children who perform outstandingly during the 11+ examinations. The children are invited to return for another day to sit another paper and talk to the Headmaster and Deputy Head about a piece of work that they have been prepared in advance.

Art Scholarships – offered to children with a real passion for the subject who can provide clear evidence of drawing skills and a portfolio of self-motivated creative work.

Design Technology (DT) Scholarships – offered to children who can provide us with examples of three dimensional work and the preparation for these pieces.

Music Scholarships – offered to children who can play either 2 instruments well or one instrument with voice as their second skill. The standard of performance on the main instrument should be Grade 3 of the ABE.

Sports Scholarships – offered to children who represent their school in at least 2 different sports (and possibly at Club level too) and who demonstrate real sporting talent/potential.
