Life in Lower School

James: My favourite lesson

“My favourite lesson is English. We are doing a really fun project on Egyptians. We had to research a topic and I chose Egyptian Gods. We used the computer and books to help.

I have enjoyed learning rugby this year. We got to use the rucking bags, which teaches us how to tackle. It was great fun – they are soft, so it didn’t hurt!”

Georgina: What I like most about school

“I enjoy CDT. We are making Egyptian mummies and a coffin for it called a sarcophagus. The lessons are really exciting – you never know what you are going to do next!

We are more independent now we are in Lower School. I like lunch because we can choose what we want. My favourite is chicken burger and chips!”

Isabella: The activities are fun!

“I love History – I enjoy learning facts and finding out new information.

We went to see James Carter at the Literature Festival. He sat down next to me and read a poem!

Brownies is my favourite club. You can get badges and the activities are fun.

In Enrichment we have been looking at slow motion. We dropped water balloons and broke pasta to see what would happen. It was awesome!”

Henry: What I like most about school

“I joined CCJS in Year 3 and I think it’s great!

We have really fun activities on Saturdays. I loved the conker battle we had!

Every Tuesday and Thursday we have sport. I enjoy all sports but cricket is probably my favourite.

History is really good. We are learning about Anglo-Saxons and I enjoy going on all the history websites.”
