It was another very proud day for Newick House, as they had 7 boys play for the 1st XI Hockey in their final game of the season.

Away to Eton, the boys performed brilliantly to win the game 3 - 1, with Ned Langlands Pearse (U6th) scoring the final goal of the season and securing a memorable win, and James Hope (U6) being nominated 'man of the match' by coach Mr Lane on his debut for the team. It also capped what has been a special season for the Smart family, with the two brothers, Harry (U6th) and Jack (5th) playing in the XI together.

The Newick boys in the XI were: Fred Nesbitt, Guy Mitchell, James Hope, Ned Langlands Pearse, Harry Hitchins, Harry Smart (all U6th) and Jack Smart (5th).
