Sixty Y7 and Y8 pupils took part in the UK Junior Maths Challenge last month. Pupils had to answer twenty-five challenging puzzles in just one hour. The challenge is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and is aimed at the top third of pupils in Y8 or below.
Eleven pupils received the highest gold award, with Jacob Cheli gaining the “Best in School” award just beating Alexander Thorpe. Jacob also qualified for the Junior Mathematical Olympiad.
