Medieval Villages
On Saturday morning Year 6 spent a very enjoyable morning building a diorama of a medieval village. Whether constructing individual houses, a mill, a granary, a church, a castle, making trees and animals or painting, all were involved throughout the morning. Having built their model, they claimed their plot on the board and we discussed the amount of space they would all have, how they all helped each other, how the crop rotation pattern would work, that the village had to be self-sufficient etc. All in all, a very useful support for their studies. Thank-you Mr Baker and Mr Dodwell for all your preliminary work.
