It is always great to celebrate achievements in the House, but it has been an especially proud moment to hear of 2 National successes over the holidays.
Alex Duncliffe-Vines (5th) has won the National Schools' Rackets Singles Competition for his age group, Under 16s. Seeded 1, he handled the expectation and pressure brilliantly, and came through an exciting and tense match to win the title.
Harry Smart (U6th), having played so well for the XV, was selected for a Midlands trial, and has now been picked for the England Schools' Barbarians Rugby XV. Harry will have his first game against the Irish Exiles in a few weeks, and we wish him well.
Finally, Jack Smart (5th) also had a very busy Christmas holidays, attending the last round of selsction for England U16 Hockey. Unfortunately Jack didn't quite make the final cut, but to have got so far is a wonderful achievement.
