New Headmaster Announced

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Bryan as the new Headmaster from September 2010.

Currently Deputy Head, Scott Bryan brings with him a host of skills and experience. An inspirational and committed leader, he will now look to develop Cheltenham College Junior School with great energy and clarity of purpose in the years ahead.

President of Council, Reverend John Horan commented: “From the outset, the Council set out to find a visionary leader who would build upon the success of The Junior and take it to new levels. In Scott Bryan we have a compelling combination of experience, academic know-how and the energy, drive and passion to deliver a truly first class education for all our pupils. He is an outstanding individual who is enormously respected in the school community and we are delighted that he has accepted the role.”

Scott Bryan commented: “ I am honoured to be the next Headmaster of Cheltenham College Junior School and am immensely looking forward to leading such a vibrant and dynamic community. My aim is for The Junior to lead the way in the preparatory school world, providing a broad based, but clearly academic education that not only prepares children for the 21st Century but supports them with excellent individual care.”

An inspirational and committed leader, Scott Bryan is the current Deputy Head at the school, and brings with him a host of skills and experience. Prior to joining Cheltenham College Junior School, Scott held a number of senior posts at leading independent day and boarding schools both in the UK and further afield.

Scott will take up his new role this September, at a time when Cheltenham College is going from strength to strength. The new term will not only see very high numbers of new pupils joining across both schools but two new and dynamic Headmasters, both of whom have their sights set on driving forward the next phase of the College’s development.
