The year begun in Newick with the whole House taking part in an Alternative Sports Day. Dividing into teams across the year groups, the House did battle in various alternative sports - Bucketball, Croccer and Danish Longball- before heading back to the Newick house garden for a well deserved tea.

The House showed off its usual sporting prowess, but extra points were awarded for the imagination and choreography of the team celebrations. Forrest Gump and Lion King were noticeably pastiched, and there was certainly much ingenuity displayed in the recreation of famous battles, not least when one side reenacted the Gold Cup!

All in all, a great day was had by all. Our new L6th former, Manfredi de Filippo, proved instantly popular by baking cake for the whole house, and it was a great way to get the whole house working together and getting to know the new boys.
