Orchestra Summer Concert

On Sunday evening, the College Orchestra is performing its annual summer concert in Pitville Pump Rooms, Cheltenham. The concert, which has been a much loved feature on the Cheltenham College calendar since 1995, will be a culmination of the work throughout the year by the Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra.

The programme will include music by Mozart, Rossini, Debussy, Bach, Handel and the retiring collection will be in aid of the Gogar Primary School project in Kenya. 

Highlights of the evening will include solo performances from: 

  • Lucy Caines on the violin. Lucy is Leader of the Orchestra and leaves College this year with an offer to read History at Trinity College, Cambridge.
  • Silas Fuller on the trumpet. Silas leaves College this year with an offer to read Medicine at Cardiff.
  • Edward Hocken – Tenor. Edward is intending to take a gap year as a Tenor Choral Scholar at Christchurch Cathedral, New Zealand. 

The concert is free and all are very welcome.
