Physical Education

We believe that Physical Education is a sure route to the development of self-confidence, camaraderie, team spirit and self-fulfilment. We therefore ensure

that there is every opportunity possible for students to try, participate in and practise a vast range of physical activities.

The PE Department works closely with the Games Department to ensure the all round sporting development of each child and there are cross-curricular links with the Science and Mathematics Departments in many of the activities covered by the children.

Our aim is for every child to discover the joy of sport, to experience involvement, achievement and encouragement in a safe and controlled environment.

Pupils' co-ordination and movement is of the utmost importance and so our Physical Education programme is geared towards improving these three aspects. Pupils are given the opportunity to learn and take part in many different activities. Each year group is also taught gymnastics, dance, swimming and multi-skills.
