On Friday 11 March, in a Cross-Curricular Evening for Sixth Form students, we will be exploring the Renaissance era in Art, Music and Science via a series of performances and presentations by staff and pupils.
We will begin the evening in the Sixth Form Social at 7:00pm with prosecco and antipasti, then move on to hear some stunning Renaissance music in the Chapel performed by the Chamber Choir, including music by Thomas Tallis and Carlo Gesualdo. At 8:00pm we will move on to T.L.G to hear about Giotto and Masaccio; two giants of Renaissance painting, this will then be followed by a piece by Clément Jannequin performed by members of the S.M.T and the evening will finish off with two Italian Renaissance poems and a solo sung by Oliver Butler.
