Last Sunday two College boys, Peter Wild and Harry Smart, were selected to play in the Independent Schools Barbarians National Squad – facing Ireland for the first game of the season.

Despite the long journey to Blackpool where the match was to be played, the intensity of the game was high right from kick off. Peter and Harry played an outstanding game, with both boys scoring tries.

The final score was a highly convincing 55 – 17 to the English side, boding well for the next match on 5 February against the Welsh U19s!
