Sixth Form

Sixth Form at College is a superb opportunity for pupils to discover and focus on their strengths and to get to grips with them in depth. It sets pupils up for university but also for a whole life's sense of interest and achievement. Pupils also get extraordinary chances to do things they might never have thought of doing.

Pupils will learn:

  • To work hard and to work under their own steam
  • To think for themselves
  • To think about the world around them and the ways in which they might analyse that world
  • To be excited about what they study
  • To discriminate
  • To research
  • To communicate
  • To plan
  • To serve and to lead
  • To take responsibility
  • What they’re good at and what they’re really good at
  • What a strong community is like
  • To prepare for life at university and beyond

Sixth Form at Cheltenham College is a whole package: from A levels and activities (including the superb things that happen in music, drama, CCF, outdoor activities, sport and trips) to Houses and Chapel (the best singing in any school).

Sixth Formers have their own room, more freedom and with that, responsibility to use their time well. Most Cheltonians make excellent friends here at College and a very large number go on to excellent and rewarding university courses of their choice.
