Stars in the making

Tom Wand (L6th) along with Georgina Bond (Q) have been the driving forces and editors of the College's new Science magazine, Star Blast. This new venture has been met with great approval by both staff and pupils alike, and features a series of articles drawn from all different fields of scientific discovery and research. The first edition is now out to much acclaim, and we are looking forward to the next edition arriving in the next half of term. Tom has said that if anyone would like to contribute to the magazine, then please get in touch with him.

Tom is not the only Newick boy distinguishing himself in academic fields. James Baker (L6th) has recently been one of the first recipients of the Maths Society Tie for his talks and contributions, whilst James Strutt (L6th), Manfredi de Filippo (L6th) and Nick Knudsen (U6th) have also been speakers at Upper College Society, the College's academic debating forum.
