The Co-ed Approach

Cheltenham College Junior School is fully co-educational. Life is made up of girls and boys, men and women so we feel strongly that a co-educational learning environment helps to prepare children for life. Children learn to integrate socially with each other, growing up and learning new things within a natural and supportive environment.

Boys and girls complement each other not only in the classroom but also on the sports field and in the creative arts too. While many boys benefit from the girls’ more studious approach to school work, girls benefit from the social mix, with the boys helping diffuse the social tension that can occur in large groups of girls.

We love having both girls and boys in The Junior and from the amount of smiling, happy faces in both classrooms and playgrounds, our pupils do too.
