Top Ten Club

The Newick House Top Ten Club met again on the evening of Tuesday 22nd February. The Top Ten Club is made up of the 10 boys from Lower and Upper College who have performed best in the recent academic cards, either through high scores, or through significant improvement.

The Club meets in Mr Llewellyn's sitting room, samples the delight of Mrs Llewellyn's home made brownies (this batch being especially good as she experimented with white chocolate chip!!), chats about their academic interests, and receives a small reward for their efforts.

"Its really important to me that not only are boys are rewarded for their hard work, but that they then take their efforts back into the House, and help others achieve as well, either through setting them a good example, or through helping them with their work. It's important too that the club never stays still - that different pupils make it in, and that we generate an atmosphere where all want to succeed." (Mr Llewellyn)

Next meeting will be after the next round of cards, towards the end of term.
