In the Christmas holidays, a group of Cheltenham College Upper Sixth French students visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where they were kindly hosted by Sir Graham Watson, MEP for South West England and President of the European Liberal Democrat and Reform Party. 

The group attended a debate on Freedom of Information, and Sir Graham spent about 45 minutes discussing his view of the importance of the European political institutions and answering students' questions on the Eurozone economic crisis and the status of Britain in the European Union following David Cameron's veto only a few days previously.
