As part of College's "24 Hours Experience" for prospective pupils in Year 7, twelve boys came to spend the night in Newick.

Arriving at lunchtime, the boys were soon whisked away for an afternoon of amazing activities, ranging from canoeing to movie making. They then arrived back exhausted in the evening to have a BBQ with the Llewellyns, as well as playing on the trampoline with young Tom, and playing cricket. The boys, who came from all sorts of different prep schools, had clearly mixed well, and were really enjoying each others' company.
After attending Chapel, they then enjoyed a concert in the Quad from JIG, before coming back to Newick for a well earned sleep. In the morning, the boys were then off doing yet more activities, with the CCF obstacle course proving amongst the favourites.

"24 Hours" is designed to give pupils who are thinking of attending College a chance to sample a little of what we can offer, as well as having the opportunity to experience staying in a boarding house, and meeting some of the other children who might be joining us with them. Judging by the responses at the end of their stay, it had clearly been a success.
Just a few days prior to that, we welcomed the parents of boys who will be joining us next year. It was another great opportunity to welcome these new families into our community, as well as give them the chance to meet each other, and the House team.
