Y3 Roman Experience

The pupils of Y3 enjoyed a day learning all about the ancient Romans. This included wearing Togas and sandals and, for some of the pupils, armour! As well as looking the part pupils learnt to cook some Roman food including tasty vegetable broth, fruit kebabs, baked dormice and roasted figs. With their tummies full the class spent the afternoon making mosaics and learning some unusual printing techniques, as well as making pendants. Some of the pupils from the Senior School came over and helped with a lesson in the language of the Ancient Greeks and learned some really fun games! The day finished with a Roman feast and the fascinating story of Romlus and Remus.
